GolfWindCalculatorLTE version 4

A new version of GolfWindCalculatorLTE will soon be available with the ability to turn off ads and popups for 8 hours (even if you stop and restart the app) just by clicking on one of the ads. You will then have the same functionality as GolfWindCalculatorPro without having to pay for it. There are also some more interesting ads that should appeal to more people.

Other than the ads and popups, the free version has the same features at the paid version. You can still turn off ads permanently by upgrading to GolfWindCalculatorPro. If you want to continue using the free version, you should consider clicking on one of the ads at home or at a coffee shop before you play a round of golf and have full access while you play your round of golf.

iPhone V2.0 now available

The iPhone version 2.0 of GolfWindCalculatorLTE and GolfWindCalculatorPro are now available on iTunes. There is a "Weather Sites" tab that will display nearby weather stations with the distance away, last update time, temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and gusts. Select one of the sites from the list and then select the "Weather" tab to see even more information with a compass that will show where the wind is from (according to the weather station). The dial and wind arrow will rotate so that you can point the phone in the direction of your shot and the arrow will still point in the direction of the wind.

The weather information comes from OpenWeatherMap.org and the app will ask for updated information only if 10 minutes have passed since the last update (OpenWeatherMap.org policy). Multiple weather sites are displayed so that sites with questionable information can be skipped.

iphone version of GolfWindCalculator in final testing

Final testing is underway for the iphone version of GolfWindCalculatorLTE and GolfWindCalculatorPro. Both apps have already been released for android phones and are available on play.google.com.
